Soda Ash

Most of the time water quality may not be an issue but when it is Soda Ash is the answer we can use in the HDD drilling industry. Soda Ash drops calcium hardness out of the water and raises pH, this greatly improves the mixing of additives like bentonite and many others and the stability of drilling fluid. Add soda ash through the hopper at recommended dosage rates while mixing or add directly to the water truck or frac tank while filling with fresh water.

APPLICATION:

For make-up water treatment: add 10 to 25 lbs. per 1000 gallons for moderate to hard range. For contamination greater than 180 mg/l, add 25-50 lbs/1000 gal.
