Drilling Fluid Testing

  • We test bentonite drilling gel products for rheological properties, filtrate and perform chemical analysis at a range of dosage rates. 
  • Drilling fluid additive testing is designed to determine effectiveness of each chemical additive in the ground condition for which it is intended. Clay treatment additives, additives for sand and gravel control, suspension enhancers and filtrate control additives are common examples of the types of chemicals submitted for testing. 
  • If desired, DCS technicians will develop a mix recipe for your bore based on any available geotechnical information you provide for the HDD location. Understanding that ground conditions changes are common to our drilling segment, we can develop a suite of mixes to accommodate the existing environment. As always, we are available for real time consultation for drilling and mixing procedures while you are working on the bore.
  • We report the results of the testing in a timely manner and include our documentation, including write -up of protocols, materials handling procedures and test results with photographs of the testing steps.
