AMC Gel™

AMC GEL mixes easily through he hopper and builds high viscosity quickly. AMC GEL is the most reliably consistent bentonite formulation for HDD projects and is the best brand for building a base fluid in any formation. Add any DCS fluid Solutions additive into the AMC GEL mud for proven results.

APPLICATION:

AMC GEL™ is recommended for building a mud system with excellent hole-cleaning properties and filtration control in fresh to brackish water. Typical concentrations for AMC GEL™ range from 15 to 60 kg / m³ (5 to 21 lb / bbl). Like all bentonite products, the yield of AMC GEL™ decreases as water salinity increases. If chlorides are in excess of 8,000 mg / L the performance of AMC GEL™ will be significantly reduced. To avoid a reduction in performance, prehydrate in fresh water, where possible, before adding into the fluid system.
